Workers in a shingle truck forgot to put the boom down while driving down the road. The boom hit one powerline, taking the line down, along with hitting a second line which charged the truck a second time, catching it on fire.

A small brush fire also started due to the truck on fire.

Kaysville Fire crews responded to the scene with Engine 61, Engine 62, Brush 61, Fire 601 (Chief), and Fire 602 (Deputy Chief)

  • Well it was actually a shingle truck on fire and it took down one power line and hit another line along with starting brush on fire. Plus on the first engine they only had 3 FFs so on the second engine 5 more came down. Fire 601 and Fire 602 are just chiefs vehicles and the brush truck was never used to fight the fire, it just remained on stand-by at the scene.
