A really quick demo of the basic LFO function on the Lightfootlabs Goatkeeper v2. Nothing fancy, just showing the effect of various waves/depth/speed/steps of the LFO out into the CV in on (just one setting of) the WMD Geiger Counter.

Signal path: Fender Elvis Costello Jazzmaster \ WMD Geiger Counter \ Fender Twin Amp.
Geiger Counter settings: gain @ 8 o'clock, tone disabled, mask on, waveform 21, bit depth and sample rate max, CV mapped to sample rate.

Just scratching the surface of what you can do with the LFO out.

  • v interesting

does the wmd have a blend control or something?

im wondering how you get the clean sound and the lfo sound and what it would be like without the clean sound ?

cheers and thanks for the demo

  • @meateaterer nope, no blend, control, although that would be nice. the "clean" is from the gain being down as low as possible, the amount the pedal will effect your signal and how it effects the signal really depends on the waveform and how you have the sample rate and bit depth set. if you take out the CV control and run it straight it will sound a lot different, a lot more prominent. tons of control to get just the sound you want.

  • Great demo thanks!!!

What is that just right of the microPOG?

  • Thanks. The pedal next to the Micro Pog is a Fingerprint fuzz by Penny Pedals. Hand painted by Laura Bennett, out of production. It does a pretty great "wall of fuzz" sound.
