On Saturday, October 16th Ines and Manny were married at the Calamigos Ranch in the magnificent hills of Malibu, California. The drive up to the ranch was so breathtaking that we had to capture it with our GoPro Hero Cam (car-mounted camera) and put just a short clip in the SDE.
Their wedding story actually spanned 3 Days as more than half their guests flew in from 3 countries and five different states for this very special occasion . This was our first trip to California and what a huge honour it was to be there to capture all their memories. From the rehearsal and lunch afterwards at Adobe Cantina and then the welcome BBQ back at the hotel on Friday to the wedding ceremony and reception on Saturday at the Ranch and then a celebratory brunch on Sunday at Nes' parents home in Porter Ranch (where a Tapa Boy Filipino food truck served over a hundred guests) there was always something going on to keep everyone entertained. Sophie, their dog, was so cute as Nes and Manny were assembling their bridal party gifts she had to stick her nose into everything to check it out.
The reveal was indeed very emotional when Nes came out to see Manny for the first time. She kept saying "I can't do this" but with some coaching from her bridesmaids and Manny's encouraging "come on Baby you can do this" she managed to make her way across the field to where he was waiting for her. Pastor Tom Burgos presided over their ceremony which was both personalized and symbolic of their love for each other. Their SDE captures so many moments and all the little thought-out details from the special edition Nike shoes and scrabble cuff links with each groomsmen's initials, to the embroidered robes and sandals for the girls, the recovery kits for their guests and the list goes on and on. After so many months of planning and organizing we wanted their SDE to really re-tell their story in a very special way and when it showed at the reception we felt we had accomplished our goal.

The old ferris wheel at the ranch made for some interesting shots and it was a pleasure shooting alongside Krista Mason. We also want to thank Jason Roberts from Digs Studio in Las Vegas for coming out to assist us.

Music: Off We Go by Trent Dabbs (featuring Erin McCarley) - we felt this song was so fitting for a California wedding and has a romantic feel which we knew would fit the footage. Buy Trent's music on iTunes.
