The Qur'an establishes that Muslims are permitted to LIE, Qur'an (16:106). Other verses permitting Muslims to lie: Qur'an (3:28) + Qur'an (9:3) + Qur'an (40:28) + Qur'an (66:2) + Qur'an (3:54).

The Arabic word 'Islam' simply means 'submission', and derives from a word meaning 'peace'. In a religious context it means complete submission to the will of God.
