The Isle of Man's incinerator, or energy from waste plant as it is officially known, sits on Richmond Hill south of Douglas. The plant is almost at full capacity. This highlights the urgent need for more recycling and less burning. It is very sad to see iron and steel coming of a conveyor having been heated to well over 800 degrees Celsius. So much more can be done, be inspired - recycle all your metal and batteries, paper and garden waste, starting from today.
