Another Waldteufel-waltz. But not Waldteufel himself is the composer of the melodies. He took the themes from "Rhapsodie Espagnole" by Immanuel Chabrier and formed them into a furious waltz.

  • The Rapsodie Espagnole is a 1908 piece by Maurice Ravel.

The 1883 piece by Emmanuel Chabrier on which Waldteufel based this 1886 waltz is called España: A Rhapsody.

Thank you for your offering, it is fun.

  • Yes, you're right. Thank you.

  • @AulicExclusiva The orignal by Chabrier is so much better. If you thought Chabrier was a bit banal, you have to listen to this banalization!
