The good old days when Americans bought American trucks, Americans built American trucks in American factories. No sell out Titans or Tundras. AAAA++++

with an I6 motor, bias tires and no electronic traction aids... new trucks have more comfort and pulling power but for toughness to do actuall work, you just cant beat an older truck. still see 40s - 50s chevy trucks on farms. see alot of old 70s ford trucks too...

this is a great video.makes me appreciate my
original '58 apache longbed v8 even more

Pretty Cool! I just bought a 57 stepside.. Notice how they needed the weight from a couple guys in the bed to get thru some of the tougher sections...

mustang633NY is right. On our farm, we'd be lost without our 1950 Chevrolet 2.5 ton tandem axle grain truck, or the '69 GMC 1500...

thats cool

That was actually pretty cool I thought. I hope that I may be lucky enough to find Napco running gear for my 55 Chevy some day :)
awesome! My dream truck is a 57-59 Apache 4x4. I´d rather have a 383/NP205/Dana rather than the wimpy I-6/napco..

Cool I agree that this Napco video is awesome... but I'd take a stock I-6/Napco over any dana product any day. Oh & my 1958 Napco has the original stock V-8 motor.
Be safe,
Pee-Wee.

Hello,
GMC used Pontiac motors, so the correct stock V8 motor for my 58 GMC Napco suburban is the Pontiac 336. It was used for the 59 GMC models too. Since we're on the subject the 55 & 56 GMC used a 316 Pontiac V8 motor and for the 1957 GMC it was a Pontiac 347 that was used for their V8 motors.
Love the Blue Chippers!
