Do you think that the video on this camera is good enough because i am getting a new macbook and my old canon mini dv camcorder wont work on the new one (no firewire :-() and i just wanted someone else's opinion about the quality, is it good enough for watching over DVD on a TV/

Well... good enough for what? The video quality is comparable with the old analog VHS (640x480, 30f/s, 705kbit or 1024x768, 15f/s, 705kbit) and the sound are very good for a compact camera I think... But if you are looking for a video camera primary I think you should buy a video camera... this is a very good digital compact (still) camera, with possibility to record video as well. I rate this camera with five stars of five possible... I'm very satisfied with it.

and I should say it takes very good still pictures as well... ;-) 12Mpix... It works very good in poor light conditions as well!!
