Kinda like that, but with a bit of the traditional turn-based battle system. You only move units outside of battle (ie, you set up presets in a menu.) In battle, your placements are permanent, but you do get the "choose every move before you execute" kind of style that Disgaea has. It's a lot more classic style than a SRPG, but there are some similarities.

Im thinking the game play will be quite similar to Disgaea... Which is a fairly easy system to get used to (minus the Geo Symbols, those take eternities to get used to) so, it shouldnt be too hard. well, by now you have probably played it a bit who knows :O

english is on september

This isn't a remake as much as it is a port with cutscenes and higher presentation value: essentially, an attempt to make the original fit in better with P3 and 4.
Watch carefully, there's ties between them all if you look hard enough.

Can't wait~! <3

Looks like the series hasn't lost a shred of style in this remake compared to P3 and P4.
Well played, Atlus.

Wow is this for real? I actually have the original copy because I borrowed it from my friend but it's really hard to get into because it's so outdated. Snobby of me i know, but I started at P3 and loved P4. I'll still get this to support the Persona series, but if this can have P4 gameplay, it'll be an awesome game no doubt!

if its at E3, it will come in english

I played a roughly translated original version on an emulator. It was so horribly translated though. And the Americanized version wasn't that bad I mean hell your bro was a black dude. No offense but I found that pretty funny how they Americanized the whole thing like that. Now we just need a Persona 2 remake where Hitler is the main villain again
-
Yes, there will be an English version, and they won't be trying to Americanize the whole thing like last time, so it'll be a new script.
ATLUS USA mentioned it in their newsletter, and I believe it was at their E3 booth as well.
Are you dreaming about the butterfly, or is the butterfly dreaming about you?

Yeah, when they made this game back in 1996 they should have used PS2 graphics like P3 and P4. Nobody bought any games back then because the graphics were so bad. Everyone just waited for the PS2 games to come out.
