ml start reading. The Beretta 92 has experienced several slide separations where the slide breaks at the locking lug notches. The back half of the slide strikes the shooter. Two Navy SEALS have suffered severe facial injuries.
as originally designed the slide would separate at the locking lug recesses and eject itself off the back of the frame, the shooter, it has since been redesigned to remain attached to the frame when it failed.

"the gun is designed to fail."
That's truly the most idiotic thing I've ever seen written in YT. And that's saying a lot.
-
no it didn't work when i spent 4 years as a small arms tech (2111) in the marines.
the gun is designed to fail, but at least fail safely, no more slides shearing off at the lug recesses and implanting themselves firmly into solders heads.

Didn't the M9 work for you last time playing video games?
-
@KiloSierraAlpha he was doing good guns, not that piece of crap.

Haha, what.
What about M9? Should have continued this analysis to present day.

@yetshi
Now you're trying to damn today's M9 w/ info from Dean Speir? That's laughable. Nothing in that article is newer than 1992. It's like saying an M16A4 is the same POS as an M16 from 1966. Do a bit more research beyond a website rife w/ errors & whose owner has more axes to grind than Hagar the Horrible. Speir rarely updates or corrects articles, especially when it doesn't suit his gadfly agenda. This one included. Even the Wiki page on the M9 is a lot more accurate & current.
