  • This is Larry Santos on lead vocal.

  • The lead singer is Johnny Velvet. Larry Santos wrote the song

  • The Madison's were from Syracuse, NY. Johnny Whipple was the lead singer. The rest were Carl Irvine ( deceased ) Terry Golden ( deceased ) and Jimmy Foran who by the way wrote " The Wind And The Rain'.

  • Glad to meet another fan. Johnny is my great uncle. Got to see him last Christmas to give him a copy of John Manship's "Rare Soul" book that includes Johhny's solo "Soul Kind of Love."

  • Good sound. Produced by Bob Crewe and Larry Santos and gives a nice 4 Seasonish feel. This is probably the same group that sang Cheryl.

  • Yes, Cheryl Anne is on the other side. They also had "Can You Imagine it", "The Wind and the Rain", "Only a Fool", "Stagger" and "Valerie". My other video is of the lead singer Johnny Curtis' "The Soul Kind of Love"

  • Reading these comments leaves me confused, that sounds like Santos on vocals, was he in the group or did he produce or write the song?

  • @Howieshet That's one of my favorite tunes, but it was written by Bob Gaudio. Santos wrote Candy Girl. Cheers.

  • Larry Santos wrote "Candy Girl."

Bob Gaudio and Bob Crewe wrote "Marlena."

  • @JClarkster42 Larry Santos wrote Marlena, the great flip side of Candy Girl by the Seasons.

  • I thought The Madisons that recorded Can You Imagine It / The Wind and The Rain are from the Philly area. It definitely sounds like the same group.. I'll have to do some research on this one
