And since whan telling the truth merits a thumb down? Does the truth bothers you in some way or makes you feel really stupid about the stuff that you're doing so you think to thumb me down some more. Truth is always inconvenient and no one want to hear it.much less thrown in their sanctimonious faces.

dont worry about tricksters. i have asked some friends i know to choose the top poems regardless of the number of thumbs up or down,thus averting the problem.

a little boy drops a shiny pebble in the still water,

eyes wide watching the ripples, mezmerized;

half a world away, a mother clings tight to her daughter,

bombs fall, windows shatter, leaving the two terrified.

ethan has dreams of being that "all-american" boy,

to grow up & serve his country & all evil to destroy;

soumaya too has dreams of leading a "normal" life,

of one day walking to school with no blockades & strife.

is peace lost forever? in little ones' souls -never :)

Im sorry but , ... peace cant happen , there's to much hate in this world . do you come to understand of what true paint tastes like? ... unless you know the same pain of another person ,you cannot truley know another . And even if you did , mutual understanding would be nothing but a dream . The world of people is ruled by hatred ...

How will i die? How long 'till I see angels fly? Will i join god's might? Or see satan in his eternal night? Am i just a fly on a wall? Can i be part of something grand? I feel as if i am so small. There is something god has planned. I know there is something out there. As i take my last breath of air. My eyes close and i float to the sky. I know how i will die.
