  • No end bearing however there is a bearing on the other side of the brushes. The commutator just sticks out past the bearing.

  • Robkat check 0:11 seconds in don't see a bearing next to the commutator. I think annotations has been added to this video, so you can point it out.

  • this is how steam turbine ships make there power. the boilers are making alot of steam so some aux. steam is sent to the TG'S(turbo generators) which are giant ones of what is in this video and thats how power is produced. Its really interestering!

    Pyle National model: K-240 "dynamo" (slang for this device on a steam locomotive) run max @ 3200rpm (when governor is adjusted correctly). Not sure of the max rated pressure (around 210-230psi), but their rated output is 500w around 34vdc. Pyle of course did make other models of dynamos with higher outputs, and of the same model but with different output voltages. Steam locomotive headlights typically use 250w 34vdc bulbs.
