The "digital water pavilion" - an interactive structure made of digitally controlled water curtains - will be located at the entrance to Expo Zaragoza 2008, in front of a new bridge designed by Zaha Hadid.
Hi, the visual was created with Processing. The water and the patterns were simulated with a particle system.
This was a prototype for the Digital Water Pavillion. The algorithms were written to choose when to open or close the 3000 valves that generate the drops. Later, they were used to actually control the real thing when it was built in Zaragoza, Spain.
