  • @kathryn237 i agree, paul seems a dishevelled shadow of his former self, i met him about 6 months back, he was doing a tour of pubs in the north west.on a bicycle..its a shame that such a brilliant lyricist and singer ends up essentially busking for money and adoration, when i asked him about the beautiful south, he just said 'yeah, shit happens, drop it'.

  • love the song and the sentiments behind the lyrics. remember listening to it in my teens and feeling the emotion in paul's voice. sorry to say but the only emotion i felt watching this tonight was sadness. the fire has gone from the original version where i felt he was shouting out for someone to listen and care.
