6424 from Penn Station to Manhasset On M7 7796 (Part 1 of 4)

Take a ride on board the 10:48 AM (train 6424) from Penn Station to Manhasset using M7 7796 as the lead car. In this part, we depart from track 16 in Penn Station, exit the East River Tunnels at a restricted speed of 45mph due to track maintenance. Then we arrive at Woodside on track 1 because of more track maintenance. After Woodside we make our way to Flushing-Main Street. This video ends just before Mets-Willets Point.

you got me mixed up with the station your sign says manhasset but then the train said port washington which one is it

The train terminates in Port Washington but I got off at Manhasset. Sorry for the confusion.

Does it go north out of Penn or South?

Actually the LIRR goes east onto Long Island. But after we depart Woodside, we start to go northeast.

No problem. I went to Bayside a little while ago and am going to Melville soon but I don't think I will be taking the LIRR anywhere, although I would like to.
