Magic Realm is an old favourite of mine. I really like the combat system, but it is very hard to teach to new players, and the magic doesn't work so well. The other great aspect of Magic Realm is the terrain hexes (which can be flipped during play). I love this mechanic, and am surprised lots of other games don't use it.

I like the movement dice in Runebound, and the combat is decent. I totally agree that downtime is a major issue, and I will not play it with more than three people.

I would love to play this game, I just hate how expensive games like this are:-/ I found this amazing local store that sells these difficult to find games, but he charges over the suggested retail price.

This video suprised me a lot. I have no idea that our Czech boardgame Prophecy (Proroctví) is available in US. I'm glad you liked it we also spend several hours playing this game and Talisman before that. :-)
