Youtubers: Update on windows ME - Could not get the video drivers to work, decided to use windows update to see what it would do, it installed browser tools for IE, then restarted now it all doesn't work! so i decided to try it on a old machine (HP PAVILION A735W) that came with Windows xp in 2004- early 05. Got it to install, but yet again no graphics drivers for windows ME, the system only supports down to Windows 2000 to Windows 7 33bit, audio did not work until i went to realtek's site and got the drivers, also the LAN drivers are supposed to work with ME, they didn't to get drivers i had to jump over to my other computer and download the drivers and put them on disk since my USB flash drive wasn't working with ME, Also a few weird things with the HP running ME, it was fast but when you hit restart it keeps the screen on with the flashing MSdos prompt, but speeds up the Auxiliary case fan, but not the CPU fan? it still shuts down just fine, i since took off ME and restored it to its former glory for when i can find my Windows 98 or Windows nt, 2000.... i have a lot of operating systems, been using computers for way too long! i think my first windows was windows 386, look it up on youtube - there is a pretty funny commercial for windows 386, in fact most the windows commercials back then were hilarious! Thanks for watching please subscribe so i know that this isn't just a waste of time! comment to, what was your experience with windows, did you even use ME, are you even old enough to know that Windows Hasn't been around forever? do you even know when windows started? write about it in the comment box! thanks

  • Hi i got same problem installing video driver for windows ME on Virtual box. Did you managed to make it work?

  • @Bangk0kPrince - I'm sorry to hear your having problems, i couldn't get the graphics driver to work with windows ME, and i decided it wasn't really worth the hassle since i wasn't planning on using it everyday. i did try it on my machine without virtual machine and still wasn't able to get a working graphics driver as my system was too new. sadly that is the story with windows ME and Vista, is that there was very little supported drivers!

  • @renodude18 Actually, the video works just fine with installed SciTech Display Doctor 7.0

The installation is a little tricky, but it works.

  • @philippetev - see i knew there was a way to getting it to work but i guess laziness played a factor here and in that i didnt really try to get it to work.. but if i ever do it again i'll try that. thx!

  • I hate these kind of OS. The future rules!

  • @89990000 - LOL, yea it kinda does. I myself don't like windows 7 too much, don't like vista much but i still use it without problems. hopefully windows 8 will bring with it greatness for windows, or else its back to mac i go, no if ands or buts lmao!

  • @renodude18 oh ic. well thanks for replying man. yeah man it's really old os maybe that's why the drivers are not supported by virtualbox, i made it work on virtual pc though but sadly vpc don't have support on USB and it's taking forever when tried to import your file through filesharing. anyway the reason why i still love Win ME coz it maximizes all the instruments used on my Roland Virtual Sound Canvass which i love to use for creating and playing midi files.

  • @JoNiMa2 lol, i think it was my 3rd or 4th lol

  • @theaniruddha2010 yes it is, thanks for watching and commenting!

  • my first windows
