in what way are these american pitbull terriers, these are the original staffordshire bull terriers from ENGLAND how can they be apbt. wish people would start educating themselfs.

@lsiwankiw its the all-around story of the pit bull's heritage origin and past reputation. I dont really see what difference it makes. They are pracitically the same dogs with some subtle differences....and how can you be 100% sure which are apbt and which are staffys?

no offense but alot of those pictures look like apbt more then american bull dogs. theyre not as stocky and faces are not as scrunched up. a few of them are and alot of then are. they're taller leaner and look more like apbt.

I found something that validates my arguement on history. Those pics of original Bulldogs look exactly like american bulldogs not pitbulls. Just wish that someone would specify that the apbt is considered a english white terrier crossed with the original bulldog and not a direct descendent. My american bulldog scott type looks exactly like the original bulldog.

@carnypimp the american bulldog and the pit bull dogs both originated from the orignal bull dog....hence the both have "bull" in their name.

This whole time I've been able to wave a magic wand and resolve the issues but Ive just chosen not to because its much more entertaining to watch dogs suffer and take on a undeserving reputation not to mention listen to people like you insist you know what the issues are....But I suppose I can go ahead and take care of it. I have informative videos and pages an resources. That is my contribution...until I am financially secure enough to make a bigger one.

Ok so here is all your answers, the apbt is a dog that was 1st bred in England, not America, it's a cross between a bulldog and terrier, known as a bull and terrier, there isn't a dog called a bulldog, a dog used for baiting bulls was called a bull baiting dog, it resembled today's apbt, they also used a larger dog today known as a mastiff, both dogs would attack the bulls nose and hang on, they usually worked in pairs, eliminating dog aggression, like the modern dogo argentino bred to hunt, t

@lsiwankiw Its themselves, and yes these are apbts of the old days. Back then they were one in the same. People didnt really concern themselves with specific breeds rather the jobs they performed.

@lsiwankiw The SBT and the AMS Terrier where both reconized as breeds in 1934.. they are BOTH desendense of the BULL and Terrier(not to be confused with the Bullterier). The origenal fighting dog know as the Bull and Terrier from the UK, and was named the AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER AFTHER the imigrands took them to the usa Mid to late 1800!!. therfor the SBT is a desendend of the APBT who never changed it purpose. and still is the origenal dog the Bull and Terrier..KNOW YOUR HISTORY
