The Access Control system is an extension to the Tapango system to control the access of entire buildings with multiple doors and access levels. It uses special developed RFID enabled doorlocks which operate standalone and can grant or deny access to a person depending on the internal access rules. Every door lock is connected to a central server via an Ethernet connection. This connection will be used for sending updates or access rules and receiving logging information. An Admin panel can be used to configure the network, add users, change access rules, etc.
This movie will give a short demonstration of the most important parts of the system.
This access control sytem was built during our master Thesis at the Artesis University college of Antwerp
