Roger Moore was 57 in 1985 and retired then dalton signed on to be bond in 1987 when pirece bronsan couldnt be let out of his contract with his tv show remington steele.

roger moore i think played his final bond role at 56 or 57. A view to a kill that was. doesn't matter... it's daniel craig's character now. a different side of bond.

Bronsan was a tv actor in the 1980s and couldnt get away from his contract to do james bond movies. He was finally from his contract in the 90`s to do james bond from 1995 to 2002 with 4 movies. he is too old now bronsan is 56 years old
