Spitzer is right about "the Federal Reserve "Printing Money without backing (value) is like the government writing bad checks or putting equal numbers of bars of copper in Fort Knox where the Gold bars should be. The net effect = Government draining your wallet some without you ever spending a dime of it. By the way Im a Republican-Conservative, not a moderate, and Im leaning toward more conservatism in these times "... mere talk leads only to poverty"

@seahorse1945 The federal debt is about $13.5 TRILLION or 86% of GDP. the private debt is $45 TRILLION or 300% of GDP. U tell me which one is the bigger problem. Spitzer is not saying that about the government in general He is referring to very specific FED policies under Bush: cheap money and encouraging speculation. BTW Spitzer is a democrat for a good reason you might want to look into that.

Spitzer was the only one to investigate Wall Street before the meltdown -he was a damn good governor and had fined AIG for derivatives and fuzzy accounting. If only we had more Spitzer's in government.

We really need to bring the sheriff of Wall Street back into the game. Seriously Obama needs to consider letting Geithner go and bringing the sheriff in to regulate and control the economy. He is brilliant on every single level.
