  • nice pictures.

  • Yeah, some not seen anywhere else, too.

  • Thanks for posting. Just one correction: at 0:11, the announcer says "upon leaving the U of Kansas ...", but actually Wilt played one year with the Globetrotters before joining the NBA. Also, I love the photo at 0:33. Never saw that one before. Walt Bellamy was a great center who doesn't get much recognition nowadays. I've read a story that I think the first time Wilt and Bells met in an NBA game, Wilt blocked Walt's first 7 (or so) shots.

  • Yeah, Bells sure picked the wrong season to drop 31 and 19 per game as a rookie. Scoring took a backseat to Wilt and Baylor, and rebounding to well, I shouldn't have to name the duo.

  • He would also have the block shot record if they kept it back then. The most dominant center EVER to play in the NBA.

  • howd this guy sleep with 20,000 women and never get aids?

  • It should be "Wilt Chamberlain dominated basketball courts like no player ever , his legendary phisical strenght no mach for no player ever " .

  • @halokid26 false, it is estimated wilt averaged 8-10 blocks per game

  • @halokid26 Lol what makes you say that ? Reporter Harvey Pollack who watched both players during their careers said that Russell blocked shots but not as manny as Wilt .

  • @Straightouttalcatrez false, Russell would have owned it if they kept track

  • @juslom2002 didn't exist back then

  • Wilt himself admitted later that he was exaggerating to prove some kind of a point. That part always gets left out today...

  • I think there are more minded blinds than eye blindeds.
