Empyreal (Sylosis cover)

The first time I heard Sylosis, it was their latest "Edge of the Earth" album and my mind was completely blown! The entire album is just so incredible, and these guys are my new favorite band for the time being. GO BUY IT!

I was only going to learn the solo from this song because it sounds so unique. But I just ended up learning the entire thing! Those intro sweeps are beastly as well.

Crazy part is, these guys play in standard tuning on 6 string guitars, but they sound so freakin heavy! It's amazing. I would describe them as a cross between Gojira, Children of Bodom and a bit of old school thrash like Megadeth.

As usual, this was filmed with my Samsung Galaxy S 2 :D

@rpr154 Thank you sir. Sold my Dean a while back. Shcecter is just built better and I prefer the thicker neck. I reeeaaallllyyy wanted that Broderick Signature Jackson, but I decided to drop the cash on a custom ViK instead. I figured if I was going to spend that much, I'm going to have exactly what I want. I check out your videos and I see that 12 inch radius is a problem, which i was expecting. Even if the bridge matched the fretboard, I'm not sure how a 7 string with 12 inch radius would feel

Awesome cover man! Although I think there's a coupla notes within the 5-string sweeps that aren't quite right, possibly on the A string. Not gna claim my cover is any better, just sayin'!
