@MARKSVIGIL and it never sounds dated, even now. They were really ahead of their time.

The guitar on the whole album is simply breathtaking - and this song in particular. 92 degrees too. Brilliant

Partys Fall so good on Tinderbox!! The Tiderbox album deserves credit for creating this threatening, nearly frightening feeling. just like the front cover..

I love all the alterna new wave bands from the 80's, but as I look back, I realize they all just wanted to be David Bowie and Roxy Music. But hey, if you have to have influences, you can't go wrong with those two.

The Tinderbox tour was my first ever Siouxsie and the Banshees show (supported by Love and Rockets!) and while Tinderbox wasn't my favorite record at the time (I felt they had peaked with Hyæna) it has taken it's place alongside their very best for me as the decades have past.

Next to Hyaena, Tinderbox was one of their best efforts. The songwriting, performance, production all came together on Tinderbox.

It's their finest output ever IMO, dark and ethereal.

@Hermes4Apollo Why just cause Cities got the air play ??? Cities is just as good as Cannons & Partys fall or Candyman They are all in the same mystical realm

@MARKSVIGIL this unrest might just be one of my favorite siouxsie songs, slightly ironic in pretense of your truthful statement about a lot of people not caring for the albums too much, but I always tended to like a lot of the lesser like SaTB songs..

This was a song from the first album I'd ever bought by Siouxsie and the Banshees, I bought it on a whim, just to see who they were, I'd never heard of em till that day. Best thing I ever did was take a chance on a band I'd never heard of, I wore this album out, among others published by Siouxsie. man this brings back memories, they were bad times, I only remember the good times when I hear this though. Good ass post, thanks.

I know many of my friends back then didn't Care for Tinder Box and The Cities in Dust single...But I still think Tinder Box was one of their best albums! Remember This Unrest? Just Brilliant! Love this song Thanks for posting! Glad rag sighs, Maybe your alone! You can even hear a bit of Spellbound and Isreal in this song!
