Tecmo Super Bowl Multiplayer

With today being the first Sunday of the 2011 football season, it's a good time to share a multiplayer round of Tecmo Super Bowl for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The San Francisco 49ers (Duck) take on the (then) Los Angeles Raiders (MacDaddyNook) in a versus matchup.

Tecmo Super Bowl is a well-made football game with simple, but deep controls. Players can choose from a set of offensive and defensive plays. Offensive players can choose between plays that involve passing the ball or having the quarterback run with it while defending players can choose plays that would counter the offensive player's choice.

Tecmo Super Bowl is also well-known for its fairly accurate team stats for the time, with the quality of each team reflecting that of their real-world counterparts.
