  • right about the trunnion system( sprin over top a- arm)...wrong about the taller springs being better...a taller spring with more coils would have worked...things improved with the 1960's ramblers.....interesting study in engineering history....I've had all the amc's

  • All other '55 American cars (except Nash, with which Hudson shared bodies and platforms)!

    I have often wondered how AMC determined the '55 Hudsons rode "three times softer" than other makes!

  • But what cars have suspension like the one to the right...?

  • Stylized, innit?

  • The engines weren't that big back then. They had less horsepower with about the same milage we get today.

  • funny, we still haven't go much better in MPG than back then.

  • Watching Donald Duck bouncing around in his car, while may be uncomfortable, is also funny to watch.
