right about the trunnion system( sprin over top a- arm)...wrong about the taller springs being better...a taller spring with more coils would have worked...things improved with the 1960's ramblers.....interesting study in engineering history....I've had all the amc's

I have often wondered how AMC determined the '55 Hudsons rode "three times softer" than other makes!

The engines weren't that big back then. They had less horsepower with about the same milage we get today.
