Win an Eee Pad Transformer! Go to: http://campuslife.asus.com/index/3221/win-the-ultimate-back-to-school-gear/

If you want a tablet but need the functionality of a full PC then this is the tablet for you. The Eee Pad Transformer is the only tablet with an optional keyboard docking station that transforms it into a full-fledged PC when docked. Surf the web, create presentations, or take notes on the fly with the included Polaris Office suite.

  • Hands down the best tablet in the market right now

  • @SassyAddison It depends on your major, but in most majors they'll want you to have a laptop or at least a desktop at home to be able to run necessary programs that are only compiled on Windows or Mac Os X. I think if you have a desktop at college and use your tablet in place of a laptop you could get away with it. I have a laptop and a tablet, but I'm a computer science major and it's damn hard to make programs on a tablet.

  • yeah but i heard that the keyboard dock still consume the batteries even while the tablet isn't connected

  • Asus Transformer Prime cases accessories at kevikevdottcom

  • @Sukuraidogai Thank you! I plan to major in Computer Science too, and I've made my decision! Take care.

  • its a good tablet ,but its stil cheaper to get a laptop for £300 and whack open source apps on it, only thing is its heavy

  • I'm getting ready to go back to college and trying to decide whether I want a tablet with keyboard or a laptop. Any input?

  • @SpaceBandit666 Um, none of the programs on the Transformer Prime require the external keyboard. It is an optional item for people who would rather have a hard keyboard as compared to an on-screen one. But as far as your first point goes (affordable), I guess this tablet is not for you.

  • This tablet is so nice that I got two of them , one for me and one for my son. I also picked up the docking station as well. Asus nailed it.....great job!
