Maestro Francescatti as usual gives a so brilliant, exotic performance of this piece, with all of his a bility to show the elegant, aristocratic charecters of the French School. Of course such one of the Great Conductors, as Mitropoulos gives him a so magnificient support, with his deep understanding to every phrase of the piece. Francescatti omitted the Intermezzo ( which is freequently done by some performers) .

  • What a great fiddle player - a burnished, bright tone. Fast, almost nervous vibrato and technically secure. Oh, and by the way, very musically played which is the most important thing of all. I might just upload Zino's Sibelius later today......

  • Well John, I like your comment as usual. I'm eagerly waiting his Sibelius' upload, please do it. TY
