Ripple Effect is a haunting non-linear performance for two men (Ryan Kerr and Max Price) exploring the allegory of the unconscious and the sea. It depicts the discovery of identity and the search for the Self using movement, text and sound. At times separate, at times two parts of a whole, the performers struggle to reconcile what is said and what is meant, what is intended and what is done, what is shown and what is hidden.
Some of the things in Ripple Effect have been (loosely) based on the historical record of the attack on the Imperial Japanese Navy submarine I-52 by the USS BOGUE (CVE-9) on June 23-24, 1944.
