This is the introduction to the 1st edition of Origin of Species. I think it is VERY conceivable that I can do one chapter a week for the next 14 weeks in order to finish the book. I can make one (LONG) video for each chapter. No, this will not keep me from getting the Big Bang thing done this summer, OR all those video responses I promised (which are on a list and ARE on the way!).

For the sake of transparency and consistency, I cannot make any promises about specific amounts (you'll just have to trust me), but the more people throw me a buck for a given chapter, the more likely/more soon the next one will be. ;D

If enough brave souls can throw $14 at me, I will GREATLY hasten the project.

I CAN promise that anyone who gives me $14 (or more) will get a dollar back for every week I don't post a new chapter.

Also, it will all be released under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial license, regardless of the pace.

String theory proposes there could be 11 dimensions. It has never been observed, nor have other Universes. These are simply mathematical theories. As for other galaxies, yes, there are hundreds of billions of them and yes there is a chance that life exists elsewhere in our universe.

However, I must restate. Time as far as we're concerned is meaningless outside of our universe. To say "before the big bang" is to say "what's north of the north pole."

As far as our universe is concerned there is no such thing as "before" the big bang. It's a meaningless statement considering time as we know it has only existed since the beginning of our universe.

Your view points they may be, but basing your view points on a lie(something coming out of nothing)...aka over simplifing the Big Bang theory is not a view that most people will accept. Have you read about the Big Bang and abiogenesis? Have you seriously read and understood what shit said there. Where in the heck does it mentions "something coming out of nothing?" No where. So again, which theory says that something comes out of nothing?

You're in no way an agnostic, you are a deist. First of all, I've just spent the last 2 comments explaining how NO THEORY says that something came out of nothing and ALL YOU MANAGED TO UNDERSTAND FROM THIS is that something came out of nothing. Big Bang theory: A singularity expanding into the known Universe. The energy formed quarks, which formed protons and neutrons, which formed atoms and bla bla bla. Life, abiogenesis. Look it up on wikipedia. Evolution, same go on wikipedia.

All you can do is MAKE ASSUMPTIONS of what might be in that box, same thing applies to the Big Bang and before that, you can only make assupmtion has of what triggered the Big Bang or what was Before the Big Bang. You can only guess, and there' s a 100% chance you'll be wrong. Without evidence, we'll never know for sure what was before the Big Bang. There are hipothesis tho, for e.g. another Universe collapsing forming that Singularity, but again we need to research more before we know for sure.

You say it yourself that a God exists "You have to admit your self that something must have all ways have existance to create everything."(Not the God of the bible of course, God has in the name of the entity you're suggesting to exist). You're far from being an agnostic. You use the same arguments theists use: "we don't know it, so a God must've done it!". Here's a box. Without opening it can you say what's inside the box? WE DON'T KNOW! One simple answer to a complex question. NO IDEA. You're basically saying "Oh well I have no idea what happened before the Big Bang but since we don't know it God must've done it". It's an UNKOWN that somewhere in the future it will become a known fact, but until then just making assumptions won't help. You're not agnostic, agnosticism is a form of skepticism that holds that the existence of God CANNOT BE LOGICALLY PROVED OR DISPROVED. You basically imply "God exists" (Continued)

Again, you can claim that space bunnies are going to murder us, but that doesn't mean it's right. You need to provide evidence. IN science, you can claim anything, but has long has you don't provide evidence for that claim, it's considered Bullshit. Can you provide evidence for a creator?
