How on earth could someone dislike this... it's an incredible song. I wish it had been on one of the other albums. I want to buy A is for Accident just so I can have this song!

I could be decent, yet. . .
Anyone that really wants to know what this song is about, those five words are all you have to understand.

laughs..welcome to the american nightmare..grow up spend a shitload going to college to get a degree in a field you will never work in...Get married buy a house for too much money and a new car the depreciates 5000 dollars when driven off the lot..Have two or three kids and be in debt so that you can never have a vacation and never pay for their college...All the stress, family expectations, lies, compromising and total bullshit..Grow old with grandkids who never visit..then die..

I meant to say 'Thank God', if there is such an entity.

Welcome to the B.S. that is American Dream doctrine. You are only as exceptional as you feel to yourself, and maybe a few good friends. This duo is inspiring in its desire to be different, if not a million-selling enterprise. That God for a little individualism.

meh...
God, this song is truly beautiful. The last line "I could be president" reminds me of all the dashed hopes of childhood; when you're young, you are told to follow your dreams, and that you can run your country, and then you grow up to discover that you're not as special as everyone told you. There's nothing more painful than realizing how unexceptional you are, and this song seems to be centred around that.
