Short Story...READ.Ch.2

So, this is the second chapter. Hope you like :D

At 16, he's my Miniature Dad

Suddenly, Dad passes away. I didn't know what Cardiac Arrest was at the time, but I knew it was something terrible, something that could take away Dad's life. Mom cries until she faints, and I can't speak from crying. Only Joe is standing there like a Pine,straight and tall. He says, Demi Jonas, from now on, let me piggyback you, I'll be your little Dad.
He's so skinny, I lie on his back and his bones dig into me. I say, Joe, can't you grow some meat? He doesn't grow fat with anything he eats, but he thinks of a 'instant fattening solution'. He gets a huge piece of sponge fom goodness knows where, and ties it to his back. He says, Demi, look how smart I am, from now on you won't be uncomfortable.
I say supiciously, are you sure? He pats the sponge,and says come try. It really is comfortable, lying on the sponge, feels like lying on on goose feathers. He takes me to the sea, and everyone looks at us. I say, Joe, do you think they are looking at you or me?
He says, never mind, let them look, maybe tomorrow we will be famous. Growing this big, I'd only ever sat or been piggybacked, almost never used crutches, and we can't afford a wheelchair. In summer, he still has the thick piece of songe tied to his back, and when he takes off his shirt you see a red rash all over his back. I hug him, saying Joe, from now on, you're not allowed to piggyback me.
He stopped listening to me ages ago, glaring at me and says, idiot, not appreciative at all, other people want me to carry them and I don't.
He lies on his stomach on the bed and I shake rash powder all over his back. It's like he has ADHD, never stops.Just a few minutes and he gets up to watch the football game on TV. I go look, and the powder is all over the floor.
From now on, I start using crutches, I'm so scared of hurting him even more.
A 16 yr old Joe Jonas, have got girls liking him. He's really mean to them, scaring them away. I say, Joe, you gotta learn to be gentle and sweet, or you'll never have a girlfriend.This time he listens to me, and pays extra attention to a pretty girl.
I watch them walking together, hand in hand, and feel jealous. Joe is mine. How dare she take him away from me?
As soon as he finds out I hate the girl, they break up. I eavesdrop on them. He says, I can't get distracted now, I have to look after my sister, she needs me more than you do. The girl says, Joe, do you plan to spend your whole entire life with her? He says, yes, she's my sister, I'll spend my whole life with her.
Tears slide down my face.
