If God's eye is on the sparrow, then he can surely see The Cross that John Harty built as a tribute to Him on his Barre farm.
It is 200 feet long and 25 feet wide. From the ground, you may not know what it is. But from the air, it has awed many a pilot. Located on Barre, MA, it can be easily seen on Google Earth. It is "The Cross" that John Harty has build as a tribute to God. It includes a black asphalt cross with the Ten Commandments painted on it; a granite monument at the bse of the cross; a triangle symbolizing the Trinity, a water well and "God's Wisdom" spelled in the trees. Harty, who launched the project in 1989, calls it a big puzzle coming together for God." Video by Christine Peterson. Read the story: http://www.telegram.com/article/20091127/NEWS/911270344/0/NEWS05

  • The cross is awesome, a true work of art that John Harty accomplished with the Lord's voice and visions of the Lord as his guide. He put seven pipes in the ground without knowing why only to find out years later that they will carry water from one pond to another. These ponds are across from each other on opposite sides of the cross. There have been many other incidents like this during the 22 years that the project has gone on. John's only hope is that people would COME BACK TO GOD.
