great explaining but, no other cracks have been reported that i know of. others would show if this was happening. But from winter's bing pics you cud see theres a bubble. the fact theres USGS guys that interested should point it out. i've always said theres evidence of volcanic past here in michigan (go really look at the irish hills area) but its rising like a loaf of bread and splitting. the reported heat scares me if its over 40 degrees. root cellar theory says some heat is normal.

(pun intended!) all these people.....theres a crack in the earth! we are doomed!! it must be harp! gawdddd........anyone have any sense any more? ok people...all these things have happened billions of times over millennia! its normal.....its natural. no one ever said this planet is static, never changes. just because the world is over populated with people every where now and notice these things, doesn't mean these things are new or man made.

is post glacial rebound the same thing as the earth getting larger? some people say the earth is expanding and that is what is causing the sinkholes, earthquakes and cracks.

What do you think the effect of deep shale natural gas fracking (like Marcellus shale) has on all these systems you speak of?
~Seems too much a coincidence--the timeline of drilling and earth changes, but most likely if any effect, is not the major one at play, but an aggravation to the other thing you mentioned.

id buy your water theory except the polar ice has increased immensely since 2008. almost to pre 1999 levels. the earth is freezing right now.
google "piers corbyn".
a weather man who has sniffed the fact, that our climate is more governed by the sun than by our cars.
dont get me wrong, i hate the oil industry and its contaminating our bodies but we are not heating the planet. the sun does that.

@zebb1111 thanks for your comment. it's not global warming that is melting the ice. it's nuclear fallout in the ice cores. I have vids on it with all the goods. and the ice is melting on a major scale on both poles. it's getting hotter up there. and this cool is moving everywhere now. also it's not sea level rise it's ocean floor sinking.
