Scottish band Writing on the Wall from their 1969 single Child on a Crossing/Lucifer Corpus. A fine example of hard rocking psychedelia. Their album Power of the Picts is pretty good and worth getting if you can find a copy.

The vocalist can quiver like a cross between Audience's Howard Werth and Family's Roger Chapman. An octave higher, and I'd swear it was a Crazy World Of Arthur Brown outtake...
