Well, personally this has been a huge help to me. I hate the F with a passion but this has made it easier to acheive

Mike I hope you really want the truth. I really liked the the Idea of and content of the videos - not going to get in to the right/wrong discussion - but your sound is aufuI and at times you skip what is going on on the fret board as compared to the strings being used. Also at times you forget to go one string at a time in some of the picking videos. So the viewer is left wondering why his does not match yours.

I thought of that too, but I guess an absolute beginner probably wouldn't have the finger strength to make a full on bar.

WHY in the WORLD would you teach it this way......
"that is the wrong way around"????
how about putting that THUMB on the top is "wrong"...
I'm not a big one way is wrong one is right, but why not just teach them to bar the first fret, yes, the finger may not be strong enough at first, but it will NEVER get strong enough if you don't use it to bar....
this also starts someone off with poor form,
I've always been taught that this is not a good idea starting out to use your thumb..

Watch Hendrix, Clapton any blues player....Ralph McTell, John Martyn, Kelly Jow Phelps....are you telling me that they're all wrong????
