How X-Play rates video games, vs Gamer.TV.

G4 TV's "X-Play" is a video game review, preview, and culture show.

Gamer.TV (which you can find on STARZ!) is a video game review and preview show.

This clip shows how X-Play rates video games (1 thru 5 stars). (Gamer.TV also uses a 1-5 system.)

I was expecting some more cues about what to expect from certain games, like code words. Also, it would have been interesting for X-Play to talk about the various genres they come across, and what they expect from each.

xplay rates game by how popular they r if a game like halo a highly popular shooter made a game that just sux beyond belief they would give it a good review cause thats what they think will get more viewers

Xplay gives it a bad rating if they suck at playing the game. Not very fair.

Meh, X-play still rates games as bad as IGN does. The reviews make very little sense. Basically if a game gets a ton of hype and tons of people buy it, X-play will give it a good review. basically they go by the how much money the company made off the game. Don't believe, go look at other games they gave a bad score on and their only complaint was certain glitches.

The best way to get a review is to just watch youtube video's of people playing the game and hearing them comment on it.

. . . . no here is how they do it on there personal opinions for example everyone, Xplay Gameinformer, IGN all give God of War High scores for graphics, and action, ... and the sex minigame. I personally think the game is shit haveing an emo retard killing just for revenge which is an over used plot for anything Games, books, movies revenge is a dumb plot and so it GoW so the point is these reveiws are based on these people's opinions.

Growing up I loved x-play but now I realize how bad they're opinions are, pretty much all my favorite games have 2/5 which is complete bull.
