  • This video is awesome and positively promotes sleep...THANKS!!...

  • Beautiful!

  • @carmen0981 Try L-theanine - all natural tea extract (Amino acid) - great for turning the brain off, reduces anxiety - then play this music.

That's what I do when I can't turn my brain off..

  • @dsdan83 You can continue using the zopiclone but if you do you are risking the chance of making your sleeping issues worse in the long run. I would say keep using them for now so you dont lose sleep but also try to search for an alternative to replace it. Try to find a way to fall asleep without medication. As for me I have trouble falling asleep because I have an over active mind, I find it hard to shut off my thoughts and relax. I think thats why the music helps me.

  • @dsdan83 It sounds like you have insomnia too. Insomnia is not physical, it is caused by anxiety and the inability to relax at night. If you feel that it is your anxiety that keeps you up at night maybe you should take medication or seek treatment for that instead as that may be the root of your problem. Even if you tire your self physically does not necessarily mean you will be tired mentally.

is it also worries and anxieties that prevent u from sleeping if i may ask? the thing is, i'm an avid runner, and even when i have run for an hour and a half earlier in the day, i can't get to sleep. so as you said, it's purely psychological. when i run out of zopiclone, i usually can get a renewel a day or 2 later, so i've never gone for a prolonged period of time without proper sleep. i can't bear the thought of it cos w/out decent sleep, i find it impossible to focus the nxt day.

  • @carmen0981

hi, no, i haven't been clinically diagnosed with anything. i told my local general practioner that it is mainly random anxieties and worries that prevent me from sleeping and he prescriped me with zopiclone tablets. i ocassionaly try some off-the-shelf products - when i've run out of zopiclone - and they have no real sedative effect on me. i usually do fall asleep, but not until about 5am or so and i end up with a abysmal night's sleep.

  • @dsdan83 Do you have any idea what your sleeping disorder is? Tell me what the symptoms are and maybe I could help you out. I only know the basic ones and even then my knowledge is limited, but I'll do what I can :). It is very possible that the music simply acts like a placebo for me, but thats perfectly fine, insomnia is psychological so anything that makes me feel relaxed or confident in sleeping helps. To be honest I still have a lot of issues falling asleep even with the music though.

  • @dsdan83 who put you on the sleeping pills? If your sleeping disorder is psychological like mine I would get a second opinion. I used to be on all kinds of sleeping pills, they are an excellent temporary solution, the thing is that over time they could actually make things worse for you. Zopiclone is something I used to take, after about a year I found I could not fall asleep without them and half the time they wouldnt even work.

  • @carmen0981

i don't think i have severe insomnia, but some sort of sleeping disorder. i need to take 2 zopiclone sleeping pills to get me to sleep and additionally i listen to therapeutic sounds such as these. however, i am unsure whether the music has merely a placebo effect or an actual effect. so i find it quite remarkable that for you, as a serious insomniac, this music provides a strong enough stimulant for you to get to sleep. i kinda envy you as i really wanna kick the sleeping pills.
