During the verse, the chords are D D G A, the chorus is D D A G.
After the last verse, I actually play the chorus as D F#m G, which is a subtle change that works well, I think.

Thanks for replying. Really is spot on. Only been playing a couple of months and I think this is now my aspiration piece to aim for. Are they straight chords or did I see some hammer ons or whatever they're called? Sorry if that's a newbie question...

The D chord in the verse is really D Dsus2 D Dsus4 D. There is no hammer-on, but possibly a pull-off from Dsus4 to D. The movement on the e string is something like this:
2-22220-02223222
Btw, as I have just now discovered for myself: If you want to play hammer-ons or pull-offs, make sure to cut the fingernails on your left hand first, it's much easier that way... ;)
