  • @johnandrewprescott I agree. We're in the beginning stages of doing just that. We feel like we can make a movie that doesn't make the audience dumber for having watched it, yet be every bit as entertaining as any "mainstream" movie with a gigantic budget.

  • @HunterMann

Trust me all the points you just made I completely understand. I am firm believer in writing and shooting your own material with friends or people you have networked with and make a damn good movie. Then if it does well big wigs can't really say much. Though this seems to be an impossible task, it can be done. I'm no award winning writer but I love to write but I also love to entertain.

  • @johnandrewprescott These days if a person is writing a script that is intentionally a" commercial entertainment product", they have to dumb it down for the pathetic mall cinema audience(which is an extension of TV). Sometimes I got to a mall cinema to see a commercial H'wood movie. It is so discouraging to see the kind of crap that gets green-lit these days. "It's a shame that they spend so much money on casting big name stars, then they have no money left for good writers."

  • @HunterMann

Never dumb down a script, write it the way you would like to see it on the big screen.

  • Looking forward to seeing this on the big screen!

In writing my own comedy feature script I often wonder if I'll have to dumb it down to get a green light...

  • I really want to see this., Especially if it has Darabont talking about Darth Lucas rejecting his wonderful INDY 4 script.

  • Looks good. Can't wait to see the whole film.

  • This doc rules!

  • Thank you for this video. What inspired you to post this? I really need more of this, any tips
