You can change a choice but your can't change who you are! A lot of gay people, as myself, wish we could be straight. IF it were a choice, we would be straight.

I'm not sure that I agree with you on this one. It's one thing to advise people to embrace your children into your home out of love and respect. It is quite another to use it as an agenda to "witness" to them AND their partner. What good could come from subterfuge and manipulation? Once the child realizes their motives, trust is damaged and resentment is inevitable.

Now I'm sure what you're thinking is "better than advising the parents to shun them", but at least the child would KNOW where their parent is coming from. Afterall, these crackpots are not encouraging acceptance and open dialogue with gay children. They are reinforcing negative stereotypes and guilt.
