@javy150 I'm for the theory that her voice is Abigail Washburn but her body and instrument is part of the Quartet.

Also, this song is beautiful, and the group is amazing. Wish they would get back together!

That commenter down below, strange. I had a friend once who went crazy due to psychedelic use. He also touted Jim Morrison as better than everyone else and stuff like that. He thought that there was a cabal trying to bring about a New World Order, and that me and one of our other friends were instrumental in bringing it down. I was the Seventh Angel, or something like that. Just strange to see stuff that reminded me so strongly of that in comments on a random song.

Hi, some time's gone by since you posted, but it looks like an old time 5-string banjo to me. (Freeze frame at 4:51 )
I think the bouzouki sound might come from the two banjos being played one low and one high. Hope that helps.

This is superb music. Anyone that gives it a negative rating needs a kick in the britches.

Amazing...by the way, isn't it just "The Sparrow Quartet"? I mean if you count her separately, it would be 'Abigail Washburn and the Sparrow Trio' wouldn't it?

I love this group - the CD "Abigail WAshburn and the Sparrow Quartet" is a masterpiece - and I think this is my favorite piece. Something otherwordly about the innovative instrumentals supporting Abigail's gorgeous voice. I hope they get back together at some point and produce another Cd that's just as magical as this one.
