As the fallout from Japan's earthquake continues, the government of the Philippines is taking note.

The capital Manila sits on a massive fault line, and there are concerns the city's infrastructure would not be able to withstand a quake.

  • Manila is unplanned, polluted and choatic. It tries to portray an image of a cosmopolitan city with highrises like in New York or Shanghai with complete disregard to earthquakes. (From faraway, it looks impressive, but once you get up close and personal at street level, the city is a sewer.) I hope the big one hits soon which is overdue so we can start from scratch. Sige, magsi-tayuan pa kayo ng mga matataas na gusali. Manila reflects its people's mentality.

  • this is a good example where non education brings you... death and poverty!
