  • BHBrother- Carl is the King of Rockabilly.

Glad you found out about him. Besides being one of rocks first singer/songrwiter/guitar players, he was one of the nicest guys you'd ever meet. check out my tribute video for carl. Rock On

  • Carl may have not had the good youthful looks that Elvis had, but he could sure play guitar and write songs better then Elvis ever could. In fact, as far I know, Elvis could'nt write a good song if his life depended on it, and he was just a fair guitar player at best.

  • Yeah that's RIGHT - WWWAAAAAYYYY better than Elvis EVER was.

    Period.

  • Much better then Elvis......BULLSHIT!!

  • @hydfawr True. Carl allways did the same thing.

  • @easye1989 The guy sings great, plays great, but....his stage presence is sooo boring. He is no entertainer.

  • @whitt702 Not only that, but an adjustable nut...the only production guitar line ever to have one. Both Carl and Marshall Grant (bass) had endorsement deals with Microfrets. Bob Wootton played one for a while.

  • Fantastic show but cant help feelin sorry for Carl ...Guesting on Johnny Cash's show! Playing 15 year old songs that he wrote to a dead audience who dont even know what Rockabilly is. I guess he was always a troubled man. But Hey, wasnt Carl Perkins a fabulous rockabilly man !

  • Carl Perkins was one of the greats, so was Elvis.

  • @easye1989

You got that right! E.P. was all hype, Carl, Jerry Lee and Johnny were the Sun cats that REALLY Rocked . . . Elvis was the posterboy.
