IESI Waste Equipment in Mills County, TX

IESI is the US version of BFI Canada. I noticed that this company has a strong presence in Texas and Louisiana. Unfortunately, I was unable to get this truck in action (he was collecting in a tiny Texas town and it looked like he was done), but I figured it would be good to at least post the little bit that we got on film.

I also have a couple pics of carts and a dumpster at the end.

I recently learned that IESI has light blue trucks for "NY Corporation" in New York City.

@MrGunSlanga Always wondered what IESI stood for! Thanks for sharing that! =) Sorry I've been really slow at answering comments lately, been really busy. You know that they just finished a buy-out of WSI (Waste Services Inc.) Too bad management isn't all that great, I know a guy that works at WSI, he won't be happy to hear about that.

I used to work for IESI in midway arkansas but i could not take the unsafe trucks and shitty management and the DOT just ignored the complaints of how bad they were and they continue to let them be on the road every day in a UNSAFE manner.IESI midway arkansas needs to be looked at by someone who can fix that shit.

That sounds rough, what kinds of problems did the trucks have? I've driven some great and some bad trucks, so I'm curious.

IESI started in Justin TX in 1996, they grew real fast and just sold out to BFI Canada a few years back.

Yeah, that's very true, see where others have gone. I like knowing things like that too, esp. "WM (or whatever) is big in that area, and they operate (so-and-so trucks)"

LOL its ok, I like learning about as many company's as possible. I figure the more I know about everyone else, the easier it will be for me to make good choices when I can finally start my own company.
