This 1989 advert was done in the style of Rod Lord's animation for the Hitchhiker's Guide TV series. I don't know who made it, but they got a pretty good Peter Jones impersonator to provide the voice.

  • 404: Douglas Adams-style cynicism not found.

  • i adore british comedy

  • thats a really great ad

  • In fact, not random: "Peterborough" was the name of a long-running diary column in the paper.

  • Sounds like Stephen Moore to me.

  • mint:)

  • No it isn't THE Peter Jones, but the actor makes a quite good impression of him.

  • I like how at 00:24, after writing "News, Business, Politics, Sports, Arts, Comment...", etc., they randomly wrote "Peterborough".

  • Nice to see this set of computer graphics actually uses computer graphics in combination with stylised traditional animation.

  • can you upload the ending of the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, the 1981 movie when it says "earth, mostly harmless" for me?
