I've figured out this has to be the one from September 30, 1962, because when Daly asks if the blindfolds are on, Cerft says, "Back on," which implies there had been another Mystery Guest earlier -- and there was on 9/30/62, with the composer William Schuman being the first guest. ... By the way, Daly was so insistent that every show follow the same pattern. He'd always ask, "Are the blindfolds in place?" when he could see darn well they were! But it came in handy for me this time.
I take this back- they do have the enxt one, (Melina Mercouri 10/7/62) so this might be the first one "back" after the "dark age". This could be 9/30/62.
It's not 9/30/62- I'm checking episode by episode and there are virtually no 1961-62 clips, for some reason. I have nothing between 6/4/61, (Phil Silvers) and 10/4/62, (Joan Crawford)
This one's got me stumped. Gordon and Sheila appeared as a duo four times on WML: 4/16/61, 9/30/62, 9/33/63 and 10/16/65. On the alst one Jack Jones was the guest panelist so that's not this one. But Martin Gabel was the GP on the other three. There's no movie or play they discuss that could date it. Anybody know which one this is?
