Iran celebrates national nuclear technology day - Press TV

April 8th is henceforth celebrated as national nuclear technology day in Iran, after president Ahmadinejad in 2006 broke the news that the first batch of low-enriched uranium had been produced at the Natanz nuclear facility, to provide fuel for the country's reactors.

This year, Iranians heard more happy news on April 8th, as president Ahmadinejad announced the installation of 6000 centrifuges for enrichment purposes.

Despite the west's (USA, EU, Israel's zionist regime) opposition to these achievements, which resulted in three rounds of UN Security Council sanctions resolutions against Iran, it is the country's inalienable right, as a signatory of the NPT (Non-Proliferation Treaty), to conduct low-grade uranium enrichment under UN supervision. Likewise, IAEA chief Mohammed ElBaradei admitted that his agency could spot no military diversion of Iran's peaceful civilian program.

During this year's celebrations, president Ahmadinejad furthermore reiterated that standing up to the bullying tactics of the powers to be, does not mean that Iran would be seeking nuclear weapons.

I personally don't like Iran or any country in the Middle East with nuclear program. But when I see the Zionist regime with stock pile of all types of nuclear weapons then I say," heck why let the enemy have it and not Iran?" Though Iran never said it wants nuclear weapons.

As you can see, the zionist regime is apparently entitled to possess nuclear weapons, while the so-called international community, under US pressure, fails to address the issue. At the same time, they seek to prevent Iran from developing even the civilian nuclear infrastructre which non-weapon states such as Japan, Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, Brazil, or South Africa have.
