i really like to read the comment. The better the singer is, the worst are the comments. When you see a singer with lot of problem, every one say "it's great", and when it's great singer, everyone critics x)
In italian language vowel E is different respect to the same vowel in other languages, and if to sing it without attention it will sound like A, because the singer is used to pronounce it in such way while he is talking.
@jperniciaro So many singers do that but it doesn't make it right. So many singers modify and cheat the vowel because it's easier. It's not necessary at all. You can sing an E on a G, how do I know? Well b/c I used to modify my vowels too. I'm not in anyway saying I'm at her caliber. But I can tell you it can still sound round and beautiful. Why? B/c you open up to the E w/o too much breath pressure, that is the trick.
@jperniciaro Then how do OTHER singers sing the vowel E CORRECTLY ???? Your argument should be valid for everyone. If technique is the right one, one gets ALL vowels correctly and comprehensively!!
@undinemusic High indeed. She's terrible.

Also, you can hear Joan Sutherland singing Prendi where she keeps the integrity of the E vowel.

She modifies the Eh vowel toward Ah to create more internal resonance space and dome.
